LEAP THEN LOOK

EARLY YEARS

Our early years work has developed through our collaborative artistic practice and research as well as our interest in various progressive educational models including Montessori and Reggio. We are committed to providing children with inspiring resources to fire up their imaginations, supporting their natural curiosity, providing them with new tools to express themselves as well as giving them the space to discover for themselves.  We believe a rich child-led creative education is integral to learning and development and our workshops are structured to encourage exploration, problem-solving, critical thinking and working together.

What we offer

Bespoke workshops

We can create one-off or aseries of workshops for younger children to actively explore contemporary art making  through themes such as cause and effect, light and dark, sound, den building. Children will creatively investigate materials and processes.

Staff training and development

Fun and inspiring workshops for staff to help develop creative ideas and ways of working. These sessions often focus on ways of interacting with young children which are based on body language, eye contact and using objects and materials as a means of communication. We also offer training on how to create high quality documentation of the children's work.

Permanent artworks

We can work with your children to create permanent artworks to enrich your school or nursery environment. These projects will develop children's research, design and making techniques and a sense of pride and ownership over their learning environment.

These could include vinyl artworks, photographic prints, textile wall hangings, flags and banners, posters, videos, animations, animated gifs, performance, costumes, soundtracks, props, printed bookworks, 3D models and/or wall mounted exhibitions.
