After school clubs will typically follow a concept for a term and will explore this using a variety of different techniques. For example ‘Light and dark’ – children will ‘draw light’ make drawings in the dark, use artificial light sources and mirrors to explore the way light affects space, they will make models and take photographs of them using different types of lighting, they will make cyanotype prints, and work with shadows to create abstract images and videos. Other concepts include sound, moving image, shape and line, movement and performance.
The focus will be on working together, in pairs and in groups, to explore creative ideas and building a collective sense of excitement and pride in their work.
We can run a weekly one hour after school club for £100 per session. If this is paid for directly by parents and carers we would expect an £8-10 per session rate depending on space and expected numbers.
